Field Services Engineer

I am looking for a Field Services Engineer with Continuous Digesters Experience; someone who can provide technical advice to resolve operational problems to support a pulp and a fiberline operation process. This person is the expert in all aspects of Continuous Kamyr Digesters and has a strong technical and engineering background and has 10 years of hands on pulp and paper experience. The title of the position is a Field Services Engineer and the company I am working with an organization that needs these two individuals ASAP. The scope of the position are below; Job Description: The Field Service Engineer functions as an internal consultant, and is expected to develop projects and produce improvement in pulping operations throughout the company.

Performance measurements include: - Reduction in wood consumption, chemicals, and energy consumed per ton of pulp - Improvement in production, reliability, availability and quality above historical limits - Ability to drive results and self-manage priorities on multiple simultaneous projects.

Responsibilities: - Technical Support - Provide expert technical advice to resolve operational problems to 33 Kamyr digesters located at 21 manufacturing facilities. - Process Innovation - Develop and implement process changes that improve fiber quality, reduce operating cost, and or improve reliability and productivity. - Engineering Support - Develop energy and material balances using computer based simulation. Provide expert technical advice on the condition and maintenance of critical fiberline equipment including: K-1000s, CM, LPF, HPF, In-line Drainers, cook pumps, TS, screens, outlet device, etc. - Education and training- Educate and reinforce work practices for operators and managers of continuous digesters, either on the job or in a classroom environment. - Support of other Pulping areas- Operational knowledge of other fiberline processes is necessary

Requirements: The Field Service Engineer is a self-directed individual and as such need to process a wide array of leadership, function / technical and organizational skills.

Key examples include: Leadership/managerial competencies -Interpersonal Savvy -This position interacts with all levels of the company, regulatory agencies, and NGO industry groups, across the various cultures and languages within our global operations. The individual must be able to adapt as the situation requires and maintain positive outcomes. - Learning on the Fly & Problem Solving - This person is the expert within their area of specialization. As new or unique situations are encountered, they must self-develop technical skills as the situation dictates. - Presentation & Communication Skills - This person must employ strong verbal and written skills in the rapid communication of issue resolution and new opportunity development.

Functional / Technical competencies - Process - Expert in pulping chemistry, continuous digester operations and associated mechanical equipment. - Engineering - Experienced with continuous digester design and ancillary equipment sizing; Expert in fiberline equipment analysis for capability review, process development, or acquisition due diligence projects. - Systems - Experienced with ParcView and PI Process book. Expert using advanced spreadsheet analysis and WinGEMS for process simulation, and capability analysis; Comfortable using standard office software suites. - Operations - Familiar in the development of operating procedures and policy. - Secondary Process - Has a working knowledge of a secondary cooking, washing or bleaching process

Experience: - The applicant will possess a Bachelors Degree - The applicant will possess at least 10 years experience in operations or management of continuous digesters. - The applicant will be capable of supporting extensive travel requirements, and providing process technical support on a business priority basis.

Education: 10+ to 15 years of experience Management Experience Required - No Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree
